The word “TM” represented as  "TM" and “R” represented as "®" could be seen on the logos and brand names of several companies, products or services. 

USE OF TM SYMBOL

The word TM is abbreviation of the word Trade Mark, once a trademark is filed it comes in the record of the registry and the owner of the trademark can use "TM" symbol with their logo. The mark signifies that the owner has applied for the registration of the trademark and final registration is in process.

 Example:Intel Core i7 - “Intel” is a registered mark with symbol “®”while the word “Core” is not a registered mark hence symbol "TM" is used with it.

USE OF “®” SYMBOL

The symbol of "®" is used with the registered trademark which has completed the registration process. The symbol "®" signifies that the trademark is legally protected under the trademark law.Example: COCA COLA is the registered trademark of The Coca-Cola Company.
